Text Box: Instructions Using 1/4” seam allowance, Start the plate by sewing wedges together, creating 1/2 the plate. (See figure 1.) Press all seems the same way. Next, sew two (2) halves together and sew the center in last to complete the plate. When assembling this kit you will find a few extra pieces have been included. Appliqué work can be done by hand or machine. Choose the method and the type of stitch you prefer. If you machine appliqué, we suggest using an iron-on product to hold the plates in place. By using different size blocks, strips, corners and borders, you can make the finished top any size desired. (See figure 2.) To quilt, pin the quilt top, batting and backing together. This kit contains 714 pieces, enough for 42 plates (6 across and 7 down). Depending upon how you choose to arrange the 42 blocks , this kit will help produce a finished quilt top any size desired.
