“Crazy Quilt” Quilt Top Kit

Upon completion of your quilt top, you may contact Pookie’s Precious Creations, to have your quilt machine quilted for a reasonable price

     Our pieces are precision die cut from polyester/cotton blended fabric. This will assure a perfect fit, plus save you hours of tedious cutting. You will be proud of the beautiful quilt this kit will make and it’s so easy.

     This kit contains 252 pieces, enough for 42 blocks (6 across and 7 down) and will produce a finished quilt top approximately 60” x 70”.

Instructions

     Using 1/4” seam allowance, piece the blocks, (first join A to B; next join C to AB; then join D to BC; then join E to AB; then join F to EB; see diagram above) then join the blocks into strips; then join the strips to finish the quilt top. When sewing the blocks together, turn each block 1/4 of a turn so you maintain  that crazy quilt look, (see diagram to the right.) to make a larger quilt, a border may be added to the entire quilt, or by adding another kit. For example, a 10” border will increase the size to approximately 80” x 90”. When assembling this kit you will find a few extra pieces have been included. Consult your local library for additional ideas.

     To quilt, pin the quilt top, batting and blocking together. For best results, quilt 1/4” inside each square.
