“Star” Quilt Top Kit

     Our pieces are precision die cut from polyester/cotton blended fabric. This will assure a perfect fit, plus save you hours of tedious cutting. You will be proud of the beautiful quilt this kit will make and it’s so easy.

     This kit contains 336 pieces, enough for 42 stars (6 across and 7 down). Depending on how you choose to space the 42 stars this kit will help produce a finished quilt top  any size desired.

Instructions

     Using 1/4” seam allowance, Start the star by sewing two (2) diamonds  together. Do this until you have four (4) sets of two (2) pieces each. Then sew the sets together to form two (2) sets of four (4) pieces each.  Sew the two (2) sets together to form the star. Press the star. (See Figure 1.) When assembling this kit you will find  a few extra pieces have been included. Applique work can be done by hand or machine. Choose the method you prefer. If you machine appliqué, we suggest using an iron-on product to hold the star in place.

     By suing different size blocks, strips, corners and borders, you can make the finished top any size desired. (See Figure 2.) To quilt, pin the quilt top, batting, and backing together. |For best results we recommend quilting  one-quarter inch (1/4”) inside each seem. The diamonds in this kit can also be used to make many other patterns. Consult your local library for additional ideas.
